Jacob Melchi,

"SFP stories for projection"
A one night only installation with video and live sound:

A person constructing a press release decides to include a story about a
show that is happening at Mario's Furniture. Listening to the noise that the keyboard is making as the person is typing, the person decides to simultaneously press all keys on the "home row" in an effort to observe the sound that many keys can make and compare it to the sound that one key makes when pressed. jadksfl;. Deciding that the multiple keys make a better sound, the person chooses to include a sentence with "home row" keys being struck at the same time. jfds;lakajsfldk;a;ljsfdkjkfldsajf;aklds.

Saturday June 21th - 8 to 10pm

Annetta Kapon

" 405 North, 405 South" (2003, 00:03:40)
Large-screen projection of a new video piece.

"With a foreign language love song as a soundtrack, the red and white lights creeping slowly through dark space metaphorically transport us to the experience of traversing the city alone at night.

Kapon insists that where metaphor and realism converge we have in video form a kind of neo-surrealism; one that revisits early photo surrealism, but in a lyrical post-pop vein.
