Mr. Tamale is a digital collective that uses found images and sounds to create an assaultive live environment. Mr. Tamale is comprised of three core members, artists Alberto Miyares, Jay Juarez and Antonio Mendoza, as
well as a revolving cast of musicians, filmmakers and DJs.

Relying mostly on sampled sounds and found music, Mr. Tamale uses three computers to make improvised sonic collages, conjuring a sound that exists somewhere in between a CNN broadcast, a dance club and a broken
radio. Mr. Tamale also uses a theremin, a moog synthesizer and a bass guitar to enhance the mix with traces of real instrumentation.

Mr. Tamale doesn't rely on the old and tired equation of separating the performers from the audience. Mr. Tamale is best experienced away from the spotlight. The players set up their machines and instruments amidst the audience so others can interact with them and be part of the performance.
